The first walk of 2018 - Saturday 10th Februray 2018

Greenbooth and Naden Reservoirs

A 4.6 mile circular around the Greenbooth and Naden Reservoirs at Norden, Rochdale. The walking is described as easy to moderate but not difficult although there is a flight of steps to ascend on one  part of the route. Good footwear recommended and bring plenty of warm clothing because we shall be on high ground. Very scenic area and good views towards Manchester and beyond on a clear day.

The walk is expected to take about 2.5 hours with a break for coffee. Afterwards lunch will be at the Owd Betts Inn on Edenfield Road, where you will be able to enjoy Jacksons Farm Rag Pudding or Betty's famous Lancashire Hotpot.

In the event of bad weather at this time of year I have another walk organised starting from Heaton Park, Manchester and I will email directions and details should I have to postpone the Greenbooth walk

Meet outside church at 9.30 a.m.
